Job Overview
The Senior Specialist, Quality Assurance is responsible for monitoring compliance with corporate-level and program-specific policies and procedures to meet the internal and external requirements of SCS, as it continues to grow in size and complexity as a certification/verification/conformity assessment body. This position will be responsible for maintaining accreditation, leading and participating in internal audits and continuous improvement for programs with accredited scopes. Other responsibilities can include collaborating with program staff to ensure responses are provided in a timely fashion to external findings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Quality Assurance Department in developing and monitoring quality management systems, policies, and procedures to improve the efficacy and services delivery of the company
  • Support Quality Assurance Department in fostering the culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement in the company
  • Conduct internal audits as lead auditor or audit team member for all programs and affiliates subject to internal audits
  • Support program personnel in developing functional program documentation that ensures Quality System compliance
  • Provide support to program personnel prior to and during internal and accreditation/external audits
  • Support external witness assessments and support coordinating office assessments with various accreditation bodies
  • Manage document control assignments as directed and process client satisfaction surveys in coordination with other staff
  • Support management of the Internal Audit Portal to ensure that programs address and follow-up on internal and external findings
  • Follow directives from QA leadership including ad hoc and time sensitive tasks, as assigned
  • Support development of tools and systems for greater efficiency
  • Support the facilitation of complaints and appeals process
  • Be a primary point of contact for day to day interactions with accreditation requirements
  • Monitor changes to accreditation requirements 
  • Monitor accreditation portals for critical communications
  • Support program staff with review of root cause analyses and corrective action plans
  • Provide direction to internal audits, based on external audits performance

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent relevant experience and
  • Excellent organizational, writing, presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Initiative and demonstrated ability to handle complex and varied tasks and work independently
  • Responsive and adaptive personality
  • Excellent computer skills are essential: Fluency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required, with proficiency in other programs and database management systems
  • Strong understanding of third-party certification initiatives
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members as well as internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional experience in relevant fields
  • Experience working for a certification/accreditation body
  • Applied experience in the quality assurance or project management fields
  • Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin or Portuguese

Working Remotely
At this time, SCS Global Services is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce. This role will be based out of your home office.

Estimated Annual Salary
$61,102.08 - $83,017.87
